It is no surprise that Tunisia ranks 27 out of 52 cities around the world in the international press, where the New York Times listed it as a must visit country in 2019. The US newspaper has described Tunisia as a unique Arab country because of its freedom of expression. It also referred to the archaeological and cultural monuments such as Carthage and the Old City. Tunisia has more than 20,000 monuments belonging to the Carthaginian and Roman Empire, in addition to ones from modern times. In this sense, Tunisia attracts all tourists, especially lovers of history, architecture and greenery. Tourists finds himself wondering whether they are in a modern European country or in a historic Phoenician state. It has always been called the green Tunisia because of the beauty of its nature, which covers the mountains and valleys in green.

ليس غريبا ان تحتل تونس المرتبة 27 من ضمن 52 مدينة حول العالم في الصحافة العالمية، حيث نصحت النيويورك تايمز بزيارتها في تصنيف عام 2019 . وقد وصفت الصحيفة الأمريكية تونس بانها حالة فريدة عربيا متميزة عن غيرها بفضل حرية التعبير التي تتمتع بها.

كما أشارت الى المعالم الأثرية والحضارية فيها مثل قرطاج والمدينة العتيقة، هذا وتضمّ تونس أكثر من 20.000 من المعالم العائدة إلى الإمبراطورية القرطاجية والرومانية، انتقالًا إلى فترة العصر الحديث. ومن هذا المنطلق، تجذب تونس السائحين كافة، خصوصًا هواة السياحة الأثريّة والطبيعة الخضراء، ويجد السائح نفسه مختارا هل هو في دولة عصرية أوروبية أم في دولة فينيقية تاريخية. وما كانت لتسمى تونس الخضراء الا لجمال طبيعتها الخلابة التي تغطي جبالها وسهولها باللون الأخضر.
